Volunteer applications for Above Below 2024 are now closed.

We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming response this year - it’s great to see so much enthusiasm for getting involved! Volunteering lies at the heart of our project and it’s only through the support and generosity of our collective that the festival has evolved this far. We feel that it is this sense of community that gives Above Below its unique charm.

What you can expect from us:

Free festival ticket and participation.

Community meal with all the volunteers and some of the crew on the day before the festival begins.

Optional yoga session on Friday morning to get you ready for the first day.

Food/drink tokens to use over the weekend.

Discount on Above Below merchandise.

An approachable team who is there to help, support and energise you.

Full cover with Employers' Liability insurance.

What we ask from you:

You attend a volunteer role and safety briefing the day before the festival begins (Thursday 30th May), where you will be trained on your role(s) and meet your fellow volunteers. You can of course camp on site that night.

Your commitment to approximately 12 hours spread across the three days of the festival (Shifts may be split into 3 X 4 hours or 2 X 6 hours for example).

To be on time and able to do your allocated shifts safely.

A deposit to secure your place as a volunteer. This will be returned shortly after the festival, following completion of your shifts.

To be a respectful and caring member of the Above Below community, helping us to look after one another and our beautiful site.

In order to volunteer, you must be available to arrive on site the day before the festival begins (Thursday 30th May). On this day, there will be a briefing at 4pm, followed by a communal meal. Please confirm that you will be able to attend this.

*If your availability changes following your initial response, please make us aware as soon as possible.
